Venus

You can't miss it!

If Venus still eludes your observational skills, tonight is the night for the moon to point the way.  Venus will be sitting just off the tip of the crescent moon about 1 hour after sunset (about 6:45 local time).

We were walking west on Broadway on Friday and stopped dead when we saw Venus. The sky was deep blue and the moon just a sliver. It was truly stunning.

I recall one evening skiing at Bull Mountain, at night, with Jupiter hanging perfectly over the trail. Clouds had moved in behind and it started to lightly snow. It one of those evenings that it would be impossible to recreate.
